How do I insert or embed a video into a page?
A video can be embedded into the following types of content: Posts, News, Announcements, and an organization About Page.
The currently supported internet media providers for videos are YouTube, Vimeo, and Original Livestream.
To embed a video:
- Navigate to the entry or edit form of the piece of content to which you'd like to add the video.
- Click the Media Browser icon at the top of the Body or Description field (on the far right).
- Click the Web tab in the box that pops up.
- Paste the embed code for the video in the File URL or Media Resource field. You can find this embed code from the following sources:
- YouTube: Click the Share link below the video, then click Embed. Copy the iframe code and paste that into the File URL field on GlobalNET.
- Vimeo: Click the Share button below the video. Copy the Embed code paste that into the File URL field on GlobalNET.
- Livestream: Only "Original" Livestream is supported at this time. When you stream an event, choose the "original" Livestream format and copy and paste the embed code into the File URL field in GlobalNET.
- Click Next. The name of the video file will automatically populate; fill out any additional information (all optional), check to make sure the License Settings are correct and click Save.
- You will see a Video icon in the field. This is an indication that your embed was successful. The full video will display after you save the piece of content.
- Fill out the other required fields for your content and click Save at the bottom of the form.
