The Downsides of Digital Revolution: Confronting Africa’s Evolving Cyber Threats

The recently published report, "The Downsides of Digital Revolution: Confronting Africa’s Evolving Cyber Threats," examines four kinds of cyber-enabled threats: organized crime, critical infrastructure sabotage, espionage/surveillance and armed conflict innovation.

The report was sponsored by Global Initiative against Transnational Organized Crime and authored by Africa Center for Strategic Studies Associate Professor Dr. Nate Allen, Academic Associate Dr. Matthew La Lime, and Tomslin Samme-Nlar.

The authors will host a webinar on 12 December at 0900 EST to launch the report and detail how Africa’s digital revolution is impacting and amplifying a broad array of security threats.
